Contemporary Residence in Portugal
Situated in Guimaraes, Portugal, this contemporary house is a beautiful family residence that is finished by Pitagoras Architects. The house is built above an unleveled landscape and fully integrated to it. This lovely three storey house is designed with two floors below the ground and only one that is above the ground. The project emphasizes a strong connection between out and inside by inviting the outdoor in. Almost all floors are contemplated with sheltered and unsheltered verandas that is closed or opened to the surrounding areas. This method allows the owners to take full advantage of the scenery and natural light. The house also offers a dramatic hollow space between the open and close volumes. Completed with a large outdoor swimming pool, the house is very beautiful. Take a look at the images below.
