Minimalist Narrow House in Japan

Japanese architects are well-known because of their creativity in building small lot into cozy yet spacious house. Designed by Fujiwara Muro Architects, the house is very narrow and is located in urban area in a city named Showa-cho. The construction is very narrow but the architect has to provide a feeling of space and comfortable inside the house. The house is characterized by minimalist design and open concept interior, which is perfect to be implemented on small site area. The house is divided into several floors and is wrapped with large glass panels, allowing natural light to fill in. This urban home is designed in combination of popular color, black and white for the exterior and interior. Simple staircase links the lower level to the next level and the floor level is opened to each others. We hope this modern narrow house could inspire you to create your own.
