Sustainability House Design in Austin


Texas-based architecture firm, Dirk Clark Architecture has added their portfolio with this modern sustainability house in Austin. The City View Residence is inspired by the client's requirements to live in a house that could reflect their values and lifestyle; the result is a wonderful house with a large swimming pool and glass box living room. The house is divided into several floors with the pool as the center piece. Large glazing is wrapped the house, affording plenty of sunlight and wooden frame give a natural touch for the exterior. This contemporary home offers an outdoor terrace as a perfect place to enjoy the Austin skyline. According to the architects, several sustainability technologies are installed, such as solar panel system, instant hot water heaters, bio foam insulation, rain water collector, efficient mechanical systems and low e glass. The double height living room allows any visitors and guest to be entertained by the wonderful outdoor views and lots of natural light.
