Sustainable Residence, the Hidden House in LA

The house is built above a 7-acre site in the Mount Washington area of Los Angeles. Finished by Standard Architecture, this sustainable house is completed with two courtyards and awesome views of the surrounding nature. Titled the Hidden House, it is an example of beautiful open house design that could not only invite the outdoor in but also perfectly blend with it. This two storey house has direct access to view the city skyline from upper floor. This modern 3500 square feet home is made of redwood cladding, reclaimed and grain block wood and the cork flooring in several spaces. Completed with sustainable technologies, including cross ventilation and day lighting, and solar panels, the house could reduce the use of air-conditioner or energy-consuming of electrical lighting. Native landscape and vegetations are planted in the garden. Enjoy the images.
